Tomorrow’s Presentation Will Explore British Business Culture, Work Perceptions, Protocol, and Psycho-Cultural Differences

Sullivan said the hour-long Webinar will cover valuable information about the UK, including:

Common stereotypes and perceptions of British culture;
Regional differences in basic business and social protocol “do’s and taboos”;
United Kingdom’s psycho-cultural differences such as character traits, core country values, behaviors, attitudes and ways of viewing the world;
A framework for comparing and contrasting British culture with participants’ own culture that will enable participants to identify and resolve challenges in their own communications; and
Communication strategies for bridging cultural differences between personal, national and the target cultures.

The Webinar will be led by Tom Hoogewerf, an international human resources specialist who has worked in more than 35 countries and done business with clients from some 80 nations. Since 1998, he has served as a cross-cultural consultant for Global 500 companies operating in North America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia. Some of Hoogewerf’s clients include GE, Microsoft, GM, Shell, Motorola, Ericsson, Nokia, Kraft and Kellogg.
